This (3) day 20 hour course is designed to provide detailed training in a variety of advanced Self Defense techniques for both civilian and law enforcement personnel. Each student will receive specialized training that will enable them to avoid a confrontation, and when this is not possible, to deal with it successfully. Students will learn state of the art techniques through physical and mental conditioning in both the classroom, and field environment. Each of these techniques have been tested and proven by some of the most elite military and law enforcement organizations.
In this course you will learn:
Deadly Force Guidelines - This area will cover the legalities of using a firearm for Self Defense and how the "Continuum of Force" is applied for dealing with a threat. You will receive instruction on when Deadly Force is justified and the events that must take place to rationalize the use of it.
Mental Conditioning - Whether you are in a gunfight or being held hostage, this training will instill upon you the proper mind set that you will need to survive. This training will be done by demonstrating and having the student perform in practical exercises where they will learn how to develop a fighting mindset. We will also cover how to avoid situations by recognizing potential threats before they happen.
Weapons Retention - This block of instruction will cover the reactionary gap, gun take away techniques, and also retention techniques through practical applications.
Firearms Training - This training will cover the importance of mental conditioning while shooting in both the subconscious and conscious state of mind. The importance of understanding the difference between them and when to apply each in relations to combat shooting, target selection, and shooting fundamentals through hands on training. Additional areas that will be covered are: Surgical Shooting techniques while moving, Advanced Immediate Action Drills, Target Threat Identification Drills, Tactical and Speed Reloading Drills and Advanced Firearms Retention Drills.
Tactical Clearing Techniques - Tactical clearing techniques will be taught in both the classroom and field environment. Each student will be instructed in proven methods to move safely from one point to another within their home or building by conducting live fire drills on clearing corners, hallways, stairs, and rooms while using appropriate cover and concealment.
Student vs. Instructor - This training will pit each individual against the instructor in a simulated confrontation utilizing training ammunition. Here the student will have to evaluate the situation and then determine what type of force they will need to use in order to resolve it.
Action vs. Reaction Drills - This drill will provide the student with a first hand look at what THEIR reactionary gap is, and how human nature affects it through live fire drills.
